Motorcycle Safety
At STAR Touring and Riding motorcycle safety is more than just a slogan. Chapter 264 encourages each of its members to enroll in safety training classes such as those provided by the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF). Chapter 264 also has safety briefings during each monthly meeting prior to our monthly rides. The enjoyment of riding a motorcycle is quickly lost if you or one of you fellow riders is injured in an accident. Each member is encouraged to perform a pre-ride safety inspection (T-CLOCK) based upon the MSF developed program. The acronym T-CLOCK stands for Tires, Controls, Lights, Oil, Chassis and Kickstand. A five minute pre-ride inspection can prevent an avoidable disaster later.
